Thanks a lot for taking your time to answer. You guys are righ, I should use reference more often, but it's hard to respect them some times, lol. anyways, thanks again. And looking forward for more answers! cheers
Looking good fuse. Only think I have to crit is the size of his gut. With respect to the size of his face, his gut is slightly lacking. I would give it some more bulge. Other than that, looks great :)
Cheers guys! I'll get some proper comparison shots once I'm all done but here's one with the old model on the right. Old model is 427k tris and 27 materials, the new one is 139k and 8 respectively ATM.
That sounds interesting! I got perfect results by forcing a cage and using handplane. Also, downgrading back to 3ds max 2012. 2013 and 2014 both display whack normals in the viewport even when using the xoliul shader. Respect:)
ATTICUSMARS: Completely agree, no idea how I overlooked that to be honest. FRENETICPONIES: Thank you! Trine was pretty fun. BLETZKARN: Thanks! lighting was really challenging with no concepts/references, I don't suggest doing it for time and mental respects :P
Nevermind I figured it out, when importing a mesh for voxilization it respects hard and soft edges, quite nifty actually, you hit subdivide to "smooth" it like sub d. The only draw back is you can't unsubdivide it later.
you're definitely getting better, and I respect your persistence in wanting to learn. keep in mind that while the jaw and chin are pretty square and angular, the mouth is more cylindrical. right now your mouths are still looking pretty flat.
Thank you for responding. Just to clarify, the winners would be getting a free copy of the software. But to be honest, I think you're justified in feeling that way. I told my boss is was a bad idea, but my opinions are totally listened to and respected.
I can't take the LotR movies seriously when it comes to dwarves. He just turned them into the butt of all jokes. Once The Hobbit comes out I'll regain some respect for them on that front if the dwarves are as awesome as they seem to be.
no no no, i won't post my sketch, i respect your choices. but i am very happy to see that you've addressed the issues i mentioned, good work. to me this is a lot more believable now as an anti-matter container.
