Just check your proportions against the photograph. Everything's there (except the number plate) but the proportions are off...he looks a bit squashed and things are generally a bit out of proportion. I'd also watch the jagginess on some of the extruded edges on your neck/shoulder brace. Good start though!
This is just a block out.I drew lines and converted them to editable poly.Im planing on extruding them after im satisfied with the blockout.I have a question....I have a group of objects but i drew somemore objects and they are not in the group. How can i add the new ones to the exsisting group.3dsmax11.
nah i think he said earlier (cant be bothered to check, and i do it this way aslwell) that he built a section of grip, cloned it a few times, stitched it together then used the bend modifier in max to create the tread, then you just extrude the edges inward to create the wall.
1. side view, draw a spline like so: |_ 2. In edit vertex mode for the spline just select the middle one and fillet it, you'll get a nice curved transition. 3. Slap an extrude modifier on it, make it as long as you want. There you go, a quick infinity curve :)
Yo guys again. Today I have another problem. The problem are these ugly black places. I know that I have to make more edges around the extruded region but is there something more to do? Any idea how to solve it?
Your render scene is amazing Lovely shaders If i had to pick something, then id say the ground texture looks a little too much extruded with displacement, but i guess theres no way around that if you want to keep the depth
Another grout edit, decided to make it extrude out more and add some more big shape variation. Just feels more solid now I think. Any thoughts on the change or anything else are more than welcome
nice! one question though: why do you have nine sided arms (the part where you extrude the shoulder area)? thanks a lot, my knees and fingers always looked wrong so thats a great help
Alright, new model, a sort of old style, hydrant. my maing ref http://freetextures.3dtotal.com/preview.php?imi=10902&s=c:Hydrant&p=0&cid=19 thats it so far (the extruded piece is just a test)
This is awesome! How did you do the hair? I've seen tutorials, but I can't seem to figure out how to create a style. You just extrude a plane from the head and start moving points around or is there a certain method?
