I would try the cartoon edges effects, there are plenty of tutorials on that, just make the lines bright color instead. Then i would use a PP for the sceen tinting and mask it off by scene depth. Might give it a try tomorrow.
looks cute I like the concept, looks very laid back, i'd suggest maybe moving the shoulders down a bit to get more of anatomical shape, but its a cartoon so there's lots of room to play xD Cheers
@JordanN That's what I've been told quite a bit. However, the majority of the jobs advertised on job search websites are for companies with cartoon stylized games. It surprised me as well. I've also been looking a bit at animation as well.
It has a very cartoon look to it in the face and head overall, but the back anatomy and clavicle area are really odd looking to me. I would go back and study those areas, but I really like the overall design of the character.
looks good, some more variation in height and angles of the tiles would be good, the rounded corners on all the tiles and the perfect looking cracks make it feel a bit like a cartoon environment if thats what you were going for?
beh. I think it looks good but It's nothing like I've been wishing for. I just want it in hand drawn HD with crazy amounts of frames.. so it's smooth as butter or at least a cartoon. at least they are keeping the 2d gameplay.
haha, I didn't see the shadow either until it was mentioned. Maybe you could try the opposite? a large scorch/burn mark on the wall behind with a clean outline of him in it. That's what they tend to do in most cartoons anyway.
Chocolate starfish +1! To some people, your name/avatar might matter. But honestly, in the end it comes down to your work. If you're a good artist, they're not going to care that you have a cartoon character flipping the bird.
Micheal Bay needs to watch the Spidey 3 trailer. This is just another example how Micheal Bay is fing this. He just needs to make a GI Joe or MASK movie to hose all the cartoons I liked as a kid.
was hoping they'd give a little teaser of venom at the end when he's hanging upside, they had it in the 90's cartoon where venom flashes in the reflection was nice though, harry's a bit too neon green for my taste
