Thanks Mike :) And I agree with you on the polies, so I took away a couple loops where it didnt affect the shilloete much (excuse the poor spelling lol) and merged some verts, I always tend to forget tris don't matter in low poly models. JamesWild, Everything was modeled and rendered in Maya. I used a three point lighting set up using directional lighting because I found that is what worked best for me. I rendered using mental ray HD 1080 with the resolution at 300, raytracing turned on along with final gathering. Here is another front shot of the model… -

I don't know about 300-400, I think maybe a bit higher, but my guess would still be at under 1,000. I remember having the same thought at the last good Dominance War. Unless you got alot of money laying around, the best cpu/mobo combo that's affordable is the AMD64 3700+ (1mb cache) on an Asus A8V PCI-E board dual cores are too spendy ;/, but the majority of the cost will be your video card around $300~$400 for something decent Absoulutely get a 2gb dual channel ram kit (2x1gb sticks) -

I loved the first half of 28 days later, the second half died in the ass because it wasn't what I was expecting. I'm sure if I saw it a second time, I may enjoy it more. I'm not all that into the second one, saw the trailer for it in the theater when I went to see 300. Looks a little balls, but only time will tell.… -

Hi all I finished blocking out the island using only landscape brushes (around 300+ of them). Next I will make a house, tree and some grass to figure out the overall language for the rest.
