Thanks as always @carvuliero, I've implemented your feedback. Also, I appreciate those posture charts. Since I'm making this character to be rigged with an existing skeleton I don't have a lot of room to move in that department but the charts are really helpful for understanding references.
There's like 15 files. I dont think you wanna do that man;) the issue might be that im using a preexisting skeleton from a game (this is also going into that said game) ..not sure. I'm gonna give the other method a go to see if it will save the day.
I know it was said a while back but YES! i absolutely agree. nothing quite like bribing the refs and watching the other team murder them right on the field. skeletons, trolls, and robots. so awesome hopefully blood bowl grabs some of that nostalgia.
thanks Xeno, was a massive help! btw, my girlfriend just looked at your portfolio and said "omg i love him for making that skeleton dude in WAR" haha. anywho... i feel like maybe the eyes could be bigger and a little closer together?
I found that out actually when I went to duplicate. Oh well, the skeleton needed some reworking anyways. I'll update when My blends are done. Thanks for posting, I thought I was going to slide silently onto the second page.
You should add this to the sticky Reference thread so it doesn't disappear eventually. I've actually drawn that female model at the Animator's Union and Associates in Art. She's a great model to work with. There's also some nice turnaround sculptures of the skeleton with muscles here... Link
Have you considered mixamo? In the event that no one's available to rig her for you, you can get a solid skeleton with some decent skinning out of mixamo. Having said that Im sure someone will pop up to rig her :)
how differentare your designs? if they are just human, keep in mind the skeleton stays pretty much the same, no matter if you are chubby or muscular. also whatvengine are you planning to use? i think unity4 has support for exactly this now
Here's a chicken skeleton which I made a long time ago using a biped. It's very low poly. The wing had an alpha channel to give it a feathered profile. It's got so few bones there isn't any need for IK.
The male torso studies show some progress already, good stuff. When doing anatomy studies, also try to remember where the most important muscles attach to the bones/skeleton and figure out how they are working...helps a lot.
