dude get some reference and look at similar objects in other games and try to replicate and learn what they did and why, because right now that's "my first prop" rather than a portfolio piece.
When that inside voice says ''save now'' but you don't and two seconds later the program crash. And you think, damn I've raised the bar that time and don't think I can replicate it.
Thanks for the tips. I definitely have to give Modo another chance. Like its texture baker actually . To bad its materials/replicators/shading system is too confusing for me even with nodes
there is no special secret, no magic formula, no words that will make this happen for you quicker or easier than anybody else. you just need to do three things. 1. OBSERVE 2. REPLICATE 3. REPEAT
was messing around this morning and i found a way to replicate the clay brush a bit more closely than the wax brush, using the fill brush with the clay brush alpha at a high intensity (800 in this pic).
There are still some things from the concept art that you can pull onto the buildings tetures, like the roof tiling edge highlights. Just basically replicate what you see one-to-one.
thats a great link Eric I might try making eyes like that in future with max as well so please let us know if it works Brad or if you can replicate it using xoluil
