Hi Everyone! So I've kick started a project of mine known as Fields of Glory. This will be a Medieval hero game created using the Starcraft 2 engine. So! Without further delay, meet the Footman unit. Modeled by Sourc[e]x, and textured by yours truly :) For anyone interested in following the project, please do visit us at:…
I'm developing a modeling tool in Blender which functions similarly to the Offset filter in Photoshop. The concept is to simplify the creation of seamless modular elements, by offsetting their seam edges into editable space. My current version is simple but functional, please check out the following demonstration:…
I usually label a texture like the following: T_Maple_Leaf_COLOR_alpha The 'T' at the beginning is so my packages in the UDK Content Browser have all the Textures grouped together. Then it is followed by the texture name, the RGB channel in caps (COLOR / SPEC / NORMAL etc.) and the alpha channel in lower case (alpha / occ…
Hello, I am new to rendering. I heard that there is a method that you can follow in order to render your character nicely for display. All I know right now is to use mental ray render engine in Maya and using Diffuse , Specular and normal maps. Is there any step by step tutorials around the forum that i can follow to learn…
Yeah, I believe I followed that one. Though that's for setting up an SSS material. Wouldn't I need to have an SSS Profile instead and control where it shows using a map/mask...? I tried following this video using that approach, but it doesn't appear to work:…
yeah - looks more like camo than rust :) - for this i'd probably stick with texture masking so you can follow your 3d shape better - doing this type of stuff in-shader usually works better for flat areas as you don't need to worry about how to follow curvature and shape of your object cheers f.
hi funky, i already tried your flow, and here's what I've got.after i mirror it, my mesh (just the face part) does not follow the opposite weight.the vert goes every where.have you encounter this kind of problem before? edit i already reset xform and repeat the process.but it still does not follow the opposite weight
Try the insert edge loop tool with the equal distance option enabled. Then when you click closer to the target edge it'll follow that form, it's a feature I'd really like to see in Multi-Cut tool as well. You could also use Transform Constraint -> Edge Slide and then push it into the target edge, then pull it back and it…
