Hi! My name is Pavel Protasov and I'm looking for some freelance work! I have about 1.5 year experience. Contacts: p.protasov@gmail.com scype: krakenmk2 Portfolio:http://protasov-art.blogspot.com/ Work example
Have the editable poly object selected while in poly subobject mode and type this into the listener at the bottom left and hit enter. Not sure if you can select a specific poly with the ui. $.EditablePoly.SetSelection #Face #{123}
this doesnt usually work that well because of mipmapping and interpolating values. if you have something that blends in at say 127, well it'll have a soft transition on the edge whiich starts blending in other values.
honestly, sounds like he's just tossing money around to get publicity - if he was serious he'd invest $1.5 Billion - right now all he's throwing in is enough to build a small overpass.
I made a version with 2 different blur settings, one for diffuse lighting, and one for specular that could be transitioned between, which was about 150 instructions. The single bit there is I believe 109-115.
Why? With hard surface objects, I find it a good way to go about it. That way you really aren't modelling something twice, more like 1.5 times...saves me a lot of time.
Torekrafael: thanks :) its just over 3 gigs (had to start saving as a ztool as my zprs were refusing to open, stupid 2gig limit!) Final sculpt is around 120 million polys.
Audigy 2 ZS bitches, best card evar... But for a budget, i'd recommend another Live card or a SB PCI 512 model. If you are REALLY poor, go with the SB PCI 128 model.
Going to see it Thursday eve. I expect 15 minutes of very cool mech CG and 1.5 hours of semi-interesting dialog, romance and a fable attempt for comic relief. I'm excited though
