What version of Quixel SUITE are you using, Donofdon? The answer I gave him was a beta invitation back in November to see if he could replicate this issue in the SUITE 2.0 pre-release.
I still haven't been able to replicate the same level of accuracy with Max 8's settings that I can with one click of UVhelp. Besides which, it's free and works in max 7,6,5.
Good work so far Gabkosit, some suggestions I have would be to fuzz out the hairline area so it's not so sharp, and the cornea has a bulge to it which you could replicate with a parallax map, if I'm not mistaken.
Yea, there are more posibilities in UE4 even you can use now a lot of textures for a material which is good for terrain. Those are tricks and tips that can apply to UE3 or UE4, you can still replicate the same results.
Nice start so far. I must admit i'm a big fan of Noah Bradley's work myself, the hardest part to pull off will be replicating the lighting I bet. I look forward to watching your progress.
I don't think this is a good idea to try to replicate exactly the maya workflow. after selected the first vertex, pressing ctrl+another vertex lets select the vertices in the shortest path. no need to increse the selection 1 by 1.
Yeah he could easily replicate that with the same meshes or make low res versions since it's just pure black and in the distance which DoF will naturally take over. It's exciting :O mainly cause i love Naruto!
