What's wrong with having triangles if your shape isn't changing? If you're trying to have a quad mesh for sculpting, just Dynamesh it and you can use your triangulated version as a low poly, or you can make a new low poly by retopologizing after you've finished sculpting.
Working on the Fish Altar. Not too sure how to start off, havent used zbrush in yonks. My plan is to take this basic block out in to zbrush and merge it using dynamesh. Please feel free to correct my workflow if i'm doing something wrong or making it harder for myself.
Your welcome, and thanks for telling us how you fixed the problem. The rifle I had in my character project was a really high poly dynamesh so the cause of my problem sounds similar to yours. Will keep an eye on those stray hipoly bits too from now on.
So I've been sculpting out my base mesh (using dynamesh in zBrush), and there's still heaps I'm planning on doing to make it my proper base mesh, but let me know if there's anything that I should be working towards or problems with what I've got so far:
@Kelvin, did you have to do support tubes for the print, or were you able to just dynamesh, scale check, and straight up print everything as one? For me, I'm never quite sure when to separate and peg pieces, or when to add support tubes for printing purposes.
Anatomy study during spring break. For the most part, pieces felt like they fit and I learned a crazy amount of how to use dynamesh and how anatomy works overall, but I still don't quite "get it" like I want to. Advice is appreciated! And very much wanted!
they do get a lot of fan art. your mechs look clean dude. high poly advice wise (i just graduated college so take what i say with a grain of salt) i use dynamesh in zbrush to add to and cut into models. plenty of tutorials on it on zclassroom.
Wouldn't stacking UVs result in weird normal or ambient occlusion artifacts? As for my workflow I first made the low-poly, unwrapped it and then I was planning on making the high-poly from the low. Also, I can't dynamesh it because I don't have Zbrush or a tablet for it.
So I tried to push this sculpt a bit further, still working in dynamesh, I am trying to get the proportions and shape right. I feel like something is really off around the pelvis area but I can't tell what, Critics/comments are welcome! Thanks!
Tomorrow is possibly a new day. I really wanted to practice getting some nice topology and I am trying to completely avoid using floaters in this asset. I still don't know if I will be able to model this curve: It might be better to Dynamesh and lazymouse DamStandard that shit.
