My brother builded 2 years ago a intel q9550, and for the cpu cooler, he opted for a noctua. It's totally silent and for OC is great (but it's very expensive). My Windows Vista is ~25GB and 4GB is for Virtual memory, and between program files x86 and program files, i have 60 GBs used. I always like to have some games… -
Re: Texture Leveling
Because after the lighting/rendering is done you have to convert the image from linear space to gamma space to be displayed on a monitor. If you didn't un-gamma textures stored in gamma space you would then be re-gamma'ing them at the end after rendering and they would be extremely bright. This guy from Naughty Dog covers… -
