well, the first thing that comes to my mind is team fortress 2. they have hand painted looking stuff, and some of their surfaces defainately use normal maps. I think in tf its a case of 'what will benefit from using them' rather than a blanket everything must have or everything must not have. -

If I recall correctly, every major polycount competition ( KF2, Dota 2, even TF ) has had that as a longstanding rule, your thread has to be a live WIP. There's no way around it. If you posted a finished product and then had WIP, but didn't actually show the process of you making it in the thread, then you are not… -

Yeah, why doesn't Hasbro make some GI JOE crossovers? The brands have been joined at the hip since the mid-80's. Although I can see now not being a good time...the market is a bit oversaturated with TF lines (Universe, Movie, Animated, Masterpiece, etc) -

i have the same problem TF can't load the textures... and maya obj importer doesn't really work as it should, but it's fine on max. And the DoaX models are already available somewhere XD The mgs3 ones could be very cool but you can find some screens on the jap xsi's homepage. -

I dunno, I saw one fan-created thing where he redesigned many of the TF's as Leonardo DaVinci's various inventions... totally bizarre... As for Metroplex or Fortress Maximus... Since this is Steampunk, why not go to the center of all things steampunk, London, and have the Parliament building turn into Metroplex! -

I did some digging around today and found out some more stuff. There are two versions of each character - a high version and a low one (not a LOD of the high btw, it's got its own QC file to compile from). I think you're posting the LODs from the high one where they're too far away to warrant using the eye shader and also… -

@Sean McBride ya great work on the game art, been playing a bit of this game everyday now. a suggestion for balancing weapons, would be before final release maybe put them in the game, and have them only work on custom servers meant for testing weapon updates, and get feedback from there before putting it in the final…
