Some friends and I looked into licemsing the Moonbase Commander IP, it was a commercial flop but when we checked they were asking $100,000 for it. -

If I remember correctly, the figures in Final Fantasy: Spirits Within were about 100,000 - 150,000 polygons - as counted by quads, not tris. -

A big part of it was also 100,000 or so people on the streets watching the game. The transit system was packed and not everyone could make it out of downtown easily -
