it depends on what you call time consuming. I'm a pretty inexperienced modeller but I did this in a day or so and I would have done it much faster if it wasn't for arch-viz purposes and if I had more experience. It's just basic strip modelling. Wires are from a WIP model.
Hello guys. I need a pipeline for creating 3d models for games, because not everything starts with a block, right? Maybe there are tutorials or articles on this topic on this forum? Thanks in advance)
What is the purpose of your model, what end use will it have (video game/render?)? If you model it for a video game I would add those in as floating geometry if it's not a for a first person shooter. If you don't want floating geometry, you can use a boolean for the forward assist. You can also use booleans for the brass…
@ZacD; @SonicBlue I'm just practicing modelling :) I want to model almost every panel, engine, cockpit. This is where I am now: Thanks for the links! :)))
After trying this very quickly.. (as a warm-up).. yes.. the problematic part is the armrest.. seems to have four parts while the sitting area have three parts.. (the head cushion is already modeled as a seperate part..) ..maybe..if i'm more awake..
hi guys i would like to know what the difference between high poly modeling and low poly modeling, and in hard surface modeling like cars,tanks,weapons..etc is it ok if i break parts as much as i want or do i have limitations and thanks so much
Oh apologies. I have modelled it but the topology will be useless as it was modelled in Inventor. I brought it into 3ds max to assign smoothing groups, uv, texture, and render. As another poster said, it may be useful to try and model it in a CAD software, because in max etc you would never get it to be a perfect circle.
