Any ideas on how to approach various bevels in Maya? The train pic is very similar to the results I want. It seems to be two beveled edges joining into one smooth beveled corner. attempt:
I want to take the sphere and duplicate it along the curve selected, I'd like to be able to control the amount of duplicates and the distance apart. How can I do this? Im working on Maya 2017
It doesn't help you as a max user but Maya has a force parallel setting in its bevel ui. It might be worth checking that out if you have access to it to see if that does what you want.
Easy way to get a perfect fit (Maya): 1 - Select the edge loop of your "port". 2 - Go to Modify > Convert > Polygon Edges to Curve 3 - Create your tube CV and snap to the middle of your "port" curve. 4 - Select the "port" curve THEN the tube CV. 5 - Go to Surfaces > Extrude. 6 - Dance. (Very Important) EXTRA: If you are…

The twist has 4 grooves, where 2 open up onto the left and right sides of the gun's body,…
just model a cylinder. Move one ring to get the ladder shape. Then use the array tool or sth similar in maya to put alot of cylinders next to each other in order to get the shape. Easy peasy :)
Hi, I'am having a few problems trying to make a perfectly smooth pipe shape with this pattern cut into it using Maya, if any one has any solutions or can help it would be greatly appreciated cheers..
Curves, I'm getting something to follow a curve, its a band of material that I'm wrapping around the object but the curve seems to be doing this on the corners. Maya 2013 Edit Testing a normal circle curve does this as well.
