Happy about any thoughts, feedback and comments! Looking to slowly start moving into characters, possibly animation further down the line. These are all box modelled (not comfortable with sculpting workflow yet) and handpainted in PS (Substance doesn't give me quite the same level of control for this type of work).
I've been working on another handpainted piece, so I haven't gotten much time to sculpt, but I was inspired by some WoW tiling textures and wanted to give it another go, so, here's my progress tonight for a tiling texture, x1 and x2 tiling respectively.
Good luck for the future :> "Ability to create both hand-painted and photo-sourced texture maps: diffuse, spec, normal, alpha, and emissive" So your game is going to have 2 complete different styles ? O_o handpainted and pbr, if not why the need of knowing both style?
Hey Snake! Unfortunately, no, there is no clone stamp feature yet. The solution for now would be to place your seams in areas that are less visible. You can potentially experiment with adding a duplicate of that layer and adjusting the scale of the texture, then masking out everything but the seam with some handpainting in…
It look like every texture is titlebale, and there is some clever UVMapping involved. Look great. I love your wood. Have you photosourced or handpainted ? Btw. You can really remove those endinig on supporting wood beams. Unless you are planing they are going to be visible.
i tried to run one ages ago on http://textures.pedramk.com but too much effort to grow it and keep it updated. plus my camera lens wasnt good enough :D nowadays i just google the material i need if its too time consuming to handpaint it.
@Ootrick Thanks! :) I haven't used ddo, it's all made in photoshop. The only software I've used from quixel is ndo2 to convert the handpainted scratches into my normalmap. I'll try to get an AO in, I had some issued before but I'll take another stab at it.
hey everyone, just posting a few updates on this character...still working on details like the normal map...adding in tiny details that could not be added in the zb phase by handpainting it in photoshop...stay tuned... I still need to work on her strap and her weapons....stay tuned
Hey, polycount! My first post here! I'd like you to meet Shredder, my graduation project in XYZ School's character art class, STYL More shots of PBR version: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/lxxJEz And sketchfab with handpaint : https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/shredder-0a25f607c39f452694653c98d8ad20ac Enjoy and stay safe!
Hi! I did this handpainted diorama, here https://www.artstation.com/artwork/w6AZvg you can also see the marmoset viewer of the model. I think the harder stage of the work was the foliage, it's difficult to place it without showing the cut between ground and grass. Let me know if you have any critic or suggestion :)
