I double checked, and it looks like Blizzard uses multiple materials/shaders to do transparency stuff. For example, on Murky's master skin, the bubble appears to be using some effect similar to hot air balloons in WoW. So Tracer's goggles can be transparent. I'm not sure if you'd have to move the goggle gradient to a…
You coming to LA? I am down to hang out so hard. Also might be able to throw in a InXile tour, but we're literally just a room with computers: nothing fancy. Might be a stretch, but I can maybe get a buddy or two to vouch for us at Blizzard to do a quick floor one walkaround. Lemme know.
@ZacD Hey :) thanks for the comment well i tried that, but than i lost the feel of hearthstone, if you know what i mean. so i took a look at how blizzard changed the boards etc. for all their boards. i came to the conclusion to change as little as possible on the overall look and feeld of the board, so it will read as…
haha for sure, ill post some pictures of some designs i have done recently as far as Call of Duty, and I will post a llink to some audio i have put together recently for my application for the internship over at Blizzard should i make a new post somewhere else or just put it on here?
I agree that'd it'd be nice to lift the budget on polies when building your characters. A problem with PCs, though, is that you're typically gauging hardware minimum requirements so all the older PCs can play the game, particularly with Blizzard. Brilliant marketing but artistically limiting. I really admire the execution…
As far as I'm aware, Blizzard do their cinematics entirely in Max. Maya is used more extensively in the film industry, Max caters better to game art, since it's more modelling-oriented. I have yet to see any useful script that someone's done in Maya's MEL script which can't be done in Max script.
Which looks better? One is just simplified with layers a bit I'm really itching to wrap this up, I want to move into some 3D work and honestly I'm getting a bit bored of this. Any final touches I really need? I'll try and submit it to Blizzard's fan art page, who knows might get on it.
@turpedo Yes I completely agree with you. I tend to forget these things so getting feedback like you've given is gold. I will go back over the whole texture again and pay attention to what you've said. Thanks! Also I really like your work really shows why blizzard would pick you for an Internship.
Thank you very much, that's almost exactly what I was looking for. However I heard that there are extended figures that holds on magnets and can change a pose, one of the Blizzard developers mentioned that he has one. Should I buy one of 3dtotal one? I am not sure, I am just learning... And what sex and type should I buy?
We updated handplane to 1.5 today. The main thing of use for source engine people is that the xnormal plugin is now compiled for the latest build (version 3.18.10). There is also a small usability improvement in the form of a button that opens the output folder (looks like this: ->) Also, in case anyone here does SC2 mods…
