The free version of the mod tool does that, don't blame the OP, but DietCoke you should really download the free student version from autodesk, https://students.autodesk.com/
I had no problems exporting animated collada with the autodesk plugin. Did you try the bake animation setting in the exporter, since your joints are animated indirectly?
Thanks, restarting the hypershade fixes for a minute then the problem continues. Autodesk hinted at eliminating the hypershade in future versions. There plans to overhaul Maya are good; it takes too long :(
There's nothing in the Help file about this. I would recommend contacting your reseller for installation support. They'll be able to get you in contact with the proper Autodesk people.
