I put together a quick walkthrough on Artstation of how I made a portrait of the Critical Role character, Jester. Hopefully it can provide some insight on digital painting workflows and how to pace the rendering stages. :)
I was looking for something else but found this little gem. It's the first volume (of 12 it seems) that will guide you through the LightWave - DDO pipeline. Looks promising.
