It depends how much texture memory you have available among other things. A single 1024 DXT1 is about 1mb of texture memory. So assuming you have 3 per complete texture then you could be looking at about 30 per 90mb. A ps3 has 256mb of video ram so assuming you only get a third of that for textures then 30 or so is a… -

PSDs mostly, unless the game engine or renderer doesn't like the format. Max for example can't read the alpha channel from a PSD. Vehicle pivot inexplicably mirrored?
So I'm almost done with a custom vehicle for UT2004, except getting the weapon rigged. For some reason, it seems one of the axes is flipped - either x or y - as when the weapon rotates, it rotates contrary to the view of the camera. You turn right, it turns left. Something like 250 000 would seem like a decent number to me. Those numbers have been run on the PS4 too for cinematics, should be trouble-free to go with on a modern PC.
