Led backlights is the next gen of lcd's, you might look into those. Reportedly they have better color accuracy and more colors than crt and true black and no light bleed and longer life span but i havnt looked into those much..

Your monitor wont broadcast and your graphics card wont read over DVI/VGA port. Its a no go. There might be some app that writes 360s framebuffer to its HDD or sends it over network tho, havnt really looked into it...
I'm only curious and not in any way being critical or judgemental but there are a wide range of online tutorials catering to all levels of aptitude and experience for this 3D program. So is there a primary aspect about creating digital art that you find particularly daunting?
I find generally if there is an ultra capitalist publisher involved the idea of refining and innovating this genre is quashed. They find it too daunting and don't believe in anything they consider has risk to it. I'm sure there was some dispute between Infinity Ward and Activison about this.
Yeah it can be a bit daunting if you think about all the things you have to get to grips with. Just keep at it and enjoying the process. One day it will get to the point where it all starts coming more naturally and then it gets really fun. :)
