Hey all!! It's my first time on the contest :) I'm a 3D character animator from Portugal currently working in a feature film animation pilot. So for the contest I decided to do a run and a recall. For the Champion I'll use the Skiscrapper rig from Ianimet.net, I'll do some changes on the skin latter on. I designed and…
I am setting up some plants to respond to player interaction. However the plants are not responding right. They seem to be ignoring the pivot placement and rocking from the center of the plant. Not the base where the pivot is. This shader is based on the setup from the UDK's documentation.
Trying something different now! Making a sci-fi female pilot for another assignment, here's the concept I am using, from artstation by Yoon Lee: https://www.artstation.com/artist/blueart Here are some screenshots of where I'm at so far: I wanted to try hard surface in zbrush so I made a low poly base for each piece of…
Here's an update. I decided to go with her being some kind of futuristic cop/pilot as I'm going to make a vehicle for her as well which I have a quick design for already. I think I like the face on the left better It's actually the newer face unlike the text leads you to believe. I like the chest piece on the left as well…
just imagine the working staff as ww2 airplane engine from time to time you have to use full speed to tackle the one or other bad situation. And a good pilot knows how to use full speed wisely! But a beginner thinks "wow, full speed is way better then flying with reduced speed.. so put the throttle to full speed and…
Was a good episode, but I didnt like it as much as I liked the pilot of BoB. This one seemed like it tried to develop some backstory at the beginning, then half way through it they decided "screw it" and jumped into action. After watching the first episode of Band of Brothers, I could name several characters. After…
Recently i started a mod for Crytek's Crysis called "Modern Infantry Combat" (working title) Although currently not much information has been revealed to the crysis forum site www.Crymod.com,i will soon and only a very basic plot has been developed as i dont want to start up and make a plot that someone may not like,i…
you could just grab everything, hit move tool... or just move, hit local, and the hit effect pivot only. Now you can see all your pivots and where they are pointing.
Maintaining your pivot points in blender can save a lot of time. These "bracers" are unwrapped asymmetrically, but, because I maintained the symmetrical pivot point that was used to model them I'm able to paint symmetrically as well. Don't think this sort of thing was possible in 3DCoat without bringing the object in…
Just learning rigging, after all these years, quick question: does the local rotation of a joint pivot matter for continuity? Like the direction of maya's pivot(green(y),red(x)blue(z)) should they be aligned from joint to joint or does that not matter?
