Thanks. I have already started drawing anatomy, skeleton and muscles and for some reason, any time I see a picture or video with humans, I am always thinking of how the muscles deform, the size of skull, proportions e.tc.
How do I export animation for couriers and wards? Just grab the skeleton with the animation and .fbx it? If so, how do I export just a specific frame range (i.e. 00-30 spawn, 30-60 idle etc)
I suggest finding a skull and sticking it in there to see what doesn't add up. There's a female skeleton in LightBox in the tool subfolder by Ryan Kingslien. Right now I can tell your head isn't big enough to fit that face.
Clean stuff! I like it so far. You said you were planning an interior but I think with what you have there you have the skeleton of a western town ;) Either way I look forward to your updates.
oh animations... true. you would have to make a whole new set of animations with the new model on its own rigg and replace the files on the game haha...or somehow make the animated skeleton from the original fit this new model.
Here is The executioners pedestal. The floor is place holder for now (using another artists tiling texture). Now I just need to skeleton and pose my beast. let me know what you think <span> </span>
This is done by using an animtree and physics asset to partially control the characters skeleton. here's some related reading: http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/PhysicalAnimation.html http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/AnimationOverview.html http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/PhATUserGuide.html…
1st and 3rd tutorials you linked are fine, the 2nd one not so good. Watch this and the rest that goes with it. http://www.veoh.com/videos/v4199970Rcyp2cfj It's also helpful to study the skeleton, muscles and artistic approach of building anatomy in planes, proportions etc.
I agree that things are a bit lumpy. I also find that it doesn't look like there is much of an underlying skeleton. Maybe you could try sculpting a skull to get a better idea of where the bones lie, and where they protrude on the face.
The 9000 tris are for everything on your pedestal. Which means if you were doing something like a necromancer, the necromancer could have 5000 tris, his artifact 500, and you could have a skeleton and a zombie each with 1750 tris.
