If you want feedback on an unfinished model then it would probably be more beneficial posting wire frames and your uv layout as well as a clay render. UE4(4.13 has new showcase features) or TB2 are great options.
Not much to show as I break everything repacking the texture and I need to set up a grey submaterial to showcase my progress. But here is a breakdown of the final model except the tree will have some more silhouette work.
A little off-topic but I am pretty sure WW1:Source is still alive, they've been making some good progress lately, infact, they have a different MG08 showcased on their moddb made by someone else.
Thanks! Yeah I totally agree about the wood. A few of the reference photos I've collected of vintage storefronts showcase a painted wood style for much of the ornate trimming and elements--so I definitely think it will make it in! :)
Yeah, you have so much work! :) So I second dpaynter26's advice. Also, my favorite piece is your personal project, but it is all the way at the bottom! Maybe find a way to showcase it better ^_^
Picked up some badges today I had made of some sets I created to make available from my showcase station at the International this week. They came out pretty well I think :D
Really great breakdown! It's great that you included visuals for every step of the way, it really helped showcase your workflow. I'll be sure to keep a lot of your points in mind for the future, thanks so much for this post!
Some renders of the Tavor. Not sure if these are going to be final or not yet. Last image is from ue4 the others are rendered in Blender Cycles (I don't have marmoset toolbag for showcasing stuff so it's usually easiest to render it in Blender)
Yep, I've just received the newsletter. Just in time, I'm on a new environment design... Can't wait to test it! ^o^ (by the way, I think I gonna try out, the Planetstorm game, on the showcase. It seems to be good.)
Eh, the rendering is not what the tutorial is about. It's one of few good tutorials for Mari 2.0 and a showcase of his workflow for realistic skin. And you are by no means entitled to the model and textures, and why would you even want them?
