Thanks for the reply Rayph. I definitely agree with your support comment. I was thinking of trying out guy-wires or some sort of suspension to maintain the futuristic look. Failing that, I'll just go back to beams. Also, I just finally got my Wacom drivers working again, so I'll try some paintovers.
I don't mind them so much, it's just that the values don't behave like standard Max spinners. Especially when working with smallish-scale scenes (like we are required to match up with our engine) and using a Wacom tablet, they are just completely out of control. Regular spinner behaviour was fine, they should just go back…
A modernized Mars Attacks alien sculpt I started working on in Zbrush. It's very different than the classic look, but I wanted to keep the oversized cranium and match it up with a smaller, more angular jaw. This one literally started out with me just messing around on a Dynamesh sphere when my new Wacom tablet arrived.…
I've used a mouse for all my 3d work (including zbrush sculpting) for the last couple of years. I have a Wacom tablet, but could never get used to it :3 . Don't have any issues with my hands or wrist.... yet I don't believe I've lost out on quality due to using a mouse, probably slower if anything.
ic, I love using max for hard surface, and zbrush for organic. Can't beat zbrush with a wacom. :) I do like your snow scene you have set up so far. On the snow I would just put an alpha map over the "Opacity" slot in max and fade out the snow towards the road. Or vice versa
haha thanks Duncan and mr_ace! so last week I had a bit of a set back with my wacom pen breaking into about 8 different pieces :poly127: But I got a new one the other day and got back to it. Textures are almost done... here's what she's looking like. Let me know what you think:
Ok. I finished my German Tiger Tank. Here it is. I used Maya for the modeling, 3ds Max for rendering and Lighting, Well here is a list of what I used: Maya 3ds max vRay Zbrush Photoshop Nuke Ultimate Unwrap 3D CryEngine 3 Sandbox Fraps Wacom Tablet It took about 3 weeks
For those of you who get cramped hands, i'm sure most of you have wacom tablets. When i play this at home i just use the intuos 3 pen, it feels awesome. If you wanna roll just draw a tiny circle on the edge of your screen. The game itself is a blast. Worthy of entering the halls of its forefathers.
great materials and upper body, but I don't think you lower body fits. It's much runder and bigger, like the upper body of a heavy machinegunner, while the upper body looks much lighter. The silouhett is really "soft", some hard deffinishions would help. I made some changes (don't have a wacom at the moment :/ ) great work
Has anyone messed with this at all? It's nothing fancy, but it's still slick. You use a really simple interface of color selection/opacity/brush size (no wacom pressure support though) and you paint in the flash interface. Facebook saves the cache out while you paint, so when you're done the painting is available for…
