Yeah, Tor, thanks for bringing that up too! :) For sort of an overview of architecture, I got these a long time ago to begin studying the subject, and they've sort of stayed with me ever since. There are better books out there regarding specific periods but these are great for an introduction to all the various styles.… -

I know what you mean. I've just ordered a 1GB FirePro v4800 (which isn't that much more than the 3800s btw) and that will complete my system that's taken about 5 months to Build, well, afford. -

I have a relating question here. Does anybody know how much the memorybandwidth of the videocard matters in how fast Painter will run? In my experience I get smooth operation at 2k, but once I move to 4k I get that red bar at the bottom of the viewport with every operation. Is it the lack of memorybandwith that causes it… -
