I've been trying to use Blender more, and have started using it to create/export stuff to UDK (via FBX). I've been also trying to work on creating a bunch of Python scripts to mimic what I often do in Max/Maya, etc. so we'll see how that goes. Sure, Blender 2.5 isn't done yet, but it's quite awesome already. :) -

Won't work. RTT renders from the POV of the UV itself, so if you have overlaps in the UV, one chunk will be rendered after the other, completely overwriting the previous pixels. Instead you might try a script/plugin that unwraps your mesh, converting it from UV space to model space. Then you can render that mesh using the… -

If you're making belt loops as floating geometry, surely it's much much easier and more accurate to project all the belt loops as geometry, rather than manually doing anything in photoshop? instance the geometry, space it along a spline if you need a lot of them, use advance painter script if you're using max to place them… -

shift + > regularly stopped working on me too. i had to reset something within maya to get it working again, no idea anymore where that setting was located though. anyway, if you're fighting to grow and shrink selections, then there are much nicer alternatives, e.g. check out koshigaya's or mjpolytools script packages…
