Hm No change. I have another question. When I put a texture on my model in Max it looks like it has a really low resolution...is there a way to show the true resolution in the viewports?
It'd be better to add in a chock full of extra details including wrist bands, rivets and all for that resolution. Sometimes a UT2 character with as much detail like that would still work with a 512 resolution.
Thanks for the big resolution shots! Looks promising. You'll probaby fill the scene up more, but right now, the big empty floor area with the repeating board pattern is something that stands out immediately. The shot towards the sun works best in that regard, as the specular breaks up the shading. The materials and colors…
Greetings internet! We are a small independent team working on our first game: a sci fi drama that's like a mix of Heavy Rain, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mass Effect. We're hoping to get aquainted with the people on Polycount as they are an incredibly talented bunch and we could use some help! Thanks for your time…
Yeah I forgot to mention the fog issue. The height fog looks fine in-game, but when I render benchmark X2 size, it creates this horrible divide... Any ideas? I made the decision to remove the emissive light because the environment is a slum/post-revolution theme. I doubt a place like that would have proper running…
my trusty widescreen CRT is on its way out ... it's gonna be gutting when the tube finally goes, i know full well i can't replace its picture quality for normal TV. The HD revolution hasn't hit here yet plus, a thin telly is going to look stupid in the corner i feel your pain
1024 is way too big of resolution to be scaled down to 256 later. If you feel more comfortable working in a bigger resolution then scale down, don't go bigger than 512.
Setting the "Maximum Texture Resolution" to "Custom" in the viewport render settings, and reducing the max resolution to something low (128-ish) worked for me. Seems to be a video card memory issue (i'm on an old Mac).
The resolution is tied to the document resolution. You can't change the DPI directly in zbrush. You could try http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?7605-Import-export&p=66762&viewfull=1#post66762 perhaps
Has somebody knows, why that happened? i had the normalmap resolution 2048x2048 and got the result like on picture higher, so i'd done the resolution bigger and got that Is this some limitation in program? Or an error?
