Did a "speed" sculpt. About an hour spent sculpting, half an hour wrestling with the polypaint. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGafhorvwbQ"]Zbrush Doodle (& undo history timelapse test) - YouTube[/ame]
Any criticism at all =) Yeah I agree with you on this, it seems to be a much harder transition in UDK than it did on my polypaint, perhaps I'll need to edit my diffuse a little. Thanks Turista.
@swaggletooh Thank you! I might finish off polypainting at some point but i think i'm going to call it quits, i have spent far too long on it. Onto the next thing!
Surething The mat is nothing special, I render in modo with GI and a basic gradient environment and make small adjustments in photoshop(levels, color balance). Is there something specific you would like to know? Polypaint
Btw are you baking matcaps for the materials? I think Seth posted a workflow on his Pig dude ages ago where he baked polypaint/matcap to give a pretty cool metal look.
Another update. I have improved the polypaint a little bit, the ears and addet some furry look to it. Always open for critics and tipps. Unfortunettely i forgot to make the pyjama teeth visible on this one =)
So I finished her "sash" ( I guess that is the right term ? ) Tomorrow I need to finish her face and hair, so that the other da I can begin detailing and then polypainting :D
Hey man, Thanks a lot for your feedback! Here's my current progress - i'm working on rendering out the polypainted version now aswell, so hopefully i'll have that done this evening! Cheers
Finished off the high poly versions of these two and have blocked in the colours with a quick PolyPaint pass. I'll go in and tighten and tidy everything up once I'm at the texturing stage. Onto the lowpoly now!
heres another update with some polypainting done. I was gonna do the eyes seperate. probably work on the hair and face a tad more. do i need to add more values? or change something?
