Glad you like it Hellstern =) Test bake. I tried to replicate an "outline shader" in marmoset, it looks ok from afar even though there are some small artifacts.
you should do something about that ms-paint looking graffiti. to my knowledge theres no better way to replicate an aerosol/marker look than with actual photos.
i would get rid of the alpha and use the extra 100 tris to make the remaining pieces, for the texture just look at the ref and try to replicate what you see :)
Last project I did, going off of the concept work from my Friend, Dalton Zheng. Served more of a an exercise to see if I could try to replicate his intricate style in 3D
Hey there BBHead, I'm unsure! Are you doing any projected bakes (with cage)? Not been able to replicate a black render in Max 2015 - works fine here. Let me know, Thanks, Scott.
I agree with KnechtRuprecht. I might also suggest raising the scale of the pattern--at the moment, it seems a little too "fine," if that makes any sense. It's a tough material to replicate though, I have to agree.
No problem. Hope it helps. With it you will be able to replicate what Tor is doing in that vid. If you enable the spline as geo in the viewport and just draw out with the script active you will get the exact same result.
I was planning to pose the character in zbrush once I get the final look down. How do the clothes look toylike? I was trying to go for a stylized fantasy look, not replicate the materials realistically
First was a great game, but McGee hasn't done anything sense that gives me confidence in his ability to replicate its success. Just like with Oddworld, will remain cautiously optimistic until more is shown.
