Performance is definitely improved this update — exporting at higher res and switching between channels is a lot faster; perhaps that's just due to the reduction in vram usage. The fix to fill layers repopulating all channels when you clear the only active one is nice too. Shameless plug for something I'd like to see… -

I can't really commend enough for someone's effort to capture the chaotic nature of bombay (mumbai or you 'll get your ass kicked :D ) and especially the slums. your rickshaw and fiat taxi's are not very faithful to the real thing. the taxis are a bit more "fatty" and curvy… -

Sorry I should have mentioned I was looking for a mental ray shader. Half lambert, sometimes called wrap light shader, or light wrap. It pushes the terminator backwards so a sphere receives more lighting past where the directional light hits it. It was the shader they invented for Stuart Little 2 to make the fur look… -

30%-50% extra is higher than I thought, I think I once read 10% but that does seem a bit slim in downtime allowance. I think in terms of overtime etc, we will probably work out an amount they want me to work per month based on their budget... I am thinking that it's probably going to be easiest to call this freelance, but… -

You will still be able to buy perpetual licenses until Jan 31st, 2016. After then new seats of individual desktop software products (except design and creation suites) will generally be available as desktop subscription only. So if you want a perpetual license of a latest version of Maya and/or Max, you have until Jan 31st… -
