@musashidan dropbox link is probably broken I have similar issues with exported from 3Ds fbx 2016/2017 with cage baking ( looks like messed up UVs) but without cage everything looks fine. It's weird...
I am using Maya 2016 edition and I finally just figured out how it was done. It was with duplicate special and was quite easy I just didn't look at it hard enough. Thank you for responses they were helpful
