Hey I found cly_pivotReflectionModeling.mel and I've just started learning Maya 2010. Is your script still the best way to do symmetry modeling? Looks awesome, it does.
Added a new post, this time with some maxscripts for you to play with http://environment-artist.blogspot.com/2009/09/helpful-scripts-that-help.html (still no images... I'M SORRY T_T )
I once recorded myself in zbrush, i can't remember the 'ins and out but you basically create a script and zbrush interpret this as a recording that you can watch later.
Just beat God of War and stuck on the second boss battle in Phantom Dust. I've gotten back into Second Life trying to relearn scripting and open up a shop.
Its red when it cant-mirror - try adjusting the threshold or the mirror plane. If all that fails, I can send you a nasty mirror script tomrrow that will work.
There are a couple of scripts that make bones like this, but the dummies must be point helpers and must be named using certain rules. charRigger is one http://www.comet-cartoons.com/toons/maxscript.cfm
why use a heightmap plugin ? just displace a subdivided planemesh with a texture btw I think there is some scripts at scriptspot that do terrain stuff in max, just search there
Finally got the ship into Unreal. Just notice my problem before was that I was using the wrong plugin/script in Maya... (axmesh & axmain looks a like @ 3am in the morning @ . @)
