I know what you mean, I almost made a post on PC asking for someone to right a script for me so I could have a shortcut for it. But I figured it would be a bit too much to ask. It certainly would save a lot of time in the long run to have such a shortcut.
I just finished installing Vista 64bit to take advantage of this, hopefully I won't regret going over to Vista. I'll get back to you on how it's working for me, 1st I need to redo my key bindings and see if the scripts I like to use still work.
WANDERING EARTH - Cargo hatches details In the early script, a lot of the action happened around the hatch so I spent some extra time to make detailed drawings of those areas. Eventually it didn't matter so much! Made using Sketchup and some texture bashing.
Fwiw, I managed to write a plugin that calls an automation toolkit script and will merge texture sets at the click of a button. I can't share it cos I did it at work but it's not a particularly difficult thing to do so I imagine someone will release something similar at some point
Did you create the plane the same dimensions as the image res? For instance, the image is 1048x768 pixels. Create a plane 1048x768cm and it will align perfectly. Then just scale the plane to match the scene. There are also numerous free scripts for blueprint setup on Scriptspot. I use Noobyzors BP creator.
Sure I'll do a video on a small piece once I am done with this. I use the default tools in Max2009/2010, the ChuggnutUVtools script (which I think is not needed anymore if one is using a newer version of Max), and Roadkill. If it was in Maya : just the default tools and Roadkill.
s I tried script in maya 2015 no luck :( would have solved the radial symmetry problem for me. nice trick mogul did u put cylijnder as a refrence to the 1st object? I think for most of the problems i will have to use duplicate special and then weld
You should always be challenging yourself to get better. In doing so, you might find that another area of the studio becomes more interesting. Perhaps you start as a modeler, then find yourself writing scripts to speed up your workflow, so then you transition to a TD.
Were did all the colour go? The glowing ogive windows, the rustic colour palette and the smoky backdrops. I hope the scripted sequences are few and far between. Still looks like it's catering more to the action-crowd then stealth purists. Can't say the music fits either.
If it is the score isn't changing... possibly not hooked up yet but it looks highly scripted, as if it was just animated or in demo mode. It would be awesome if it was playable but I think they've screwed sonic over enough in the last few decades that no one really cares... sad to it looks pretty awesome.
