Hey everyone, I'll be posting concepts and working models I'm currently or plan to work on. I'm definitely looking for critiques and if anyone wants to collaborate on something I'm up for it! I gotsta try this! Does it mean you sort the pairs out by giving high and low (sub)objects matching material ID's ? So you can just keep everything clumped together, but correctly setting up ID's will leave you with no messy ray intersections?
Your models need to have material IDs assigned, then enable "Hit only matching Material ID". https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/3DSMax/files/GUID-DDD1FDA0-AB02-44F5-BA93-44F0641961D4-htm.html
josh, doesnt max9 have like a viewport polycounter? i think you press 7 and he appears. and you can configure it on the viewport settings. is there some script that can reset the ids of a mesh? clean the ids that are on the mesh, so i can apply new ones.

So far as the website goes Id make the site load directly into the gallery. Make all your images around the same size and make sure they are going to fit on an average monitor with no scrolling. So far as your work goes, Id start finishing some stuff.
I updated/optimized this for 4r8. If you are using a non-English keyboard you might have to change the which ID is used for ALT in: [IKeyPress,1024,[CanvasClick,[MouseHPos],[MouseVPos]]] You can find the keypress ID of the pressed key in Preferences>Utilities> Value of 2nd Slider
I like it, its fun, but where is he? Is he on mars? Id love to see some bounce lighting baked in to the diffuse. For mars id make the ground a darker red/brown, and the sky a yellow/orange/brown. Then make sure to give him a environment map for the glass.
Geeaaar! mine wrist is dast hurtin! Id raise my hand but if I move it in any direction I get sharp pains shooting into me eyeballs.... well, not really, but id love to move into the future without deez mouses! Edit: before jesse: after jesse:
Just wondering if Marmoset supports a second material id. So for instance, In Max if I had a building that was one mesh but had several tiling materials (say 3 material IDs in a multi-material), could I replicate this set up in Marmoset? Hopefully that makes sense!
