You work fast i like the concept and colors, haven't gotten to my "vehicle/environment" stand for my entry hope i also do not have to go oj with it, haven't at all played with colors for it and still debating on even including it for the finals. Looking forward never-the-less to more of this.
cool character i'd also recommend starting with a simple low poly base mesh. this way you can stay focused on the most impactful decisions first - proportions, shape, silhouette. It is more efficient to nudge a couple vertices that affect the silhouette compared to sculpting on virtual clay. give it a shot, you might find…
Thanks failhappy, I'd skip straight to the texturing part if I could :) JostVice, thanks, this was the coolest bike model I found :poly124: I used 3dsmax 2014 with their Clay viewport mode. Will definitely put up a nice presentation once it's finished. Here is one final update for the high poly, I have a bunch of minor…
Yes, I agree about finding reference. The best reference would be either clay sculpts, as ceebee says, with one simple color so you can see the surface clearly and not get confused by painted parts or find a 3d model and compare. You have to study each part well to know what you've done wrong. There are some free 3d models…
Yeah it gave me some hard time too. At first I tried to draw it in greyscale in photohop and then use it as a stencil in ZB, but it was bad. Finally I modelized it in Max, baked the highpoly star on a plane as an height map in xNormals ( or you can grabdoc it in the alpha in ZB ), and imported this heightmap as the alpha…
Hey MoP which Uk store was that in,I am also from the UK and would be curious to know? Nice work scoob, nice work thus far, looking forward to the final, btw did u model the eyes seperatily and place them in the sockets or how did ya do that? Also does the same rules apply for this stuff as clay?..e.g must have air pockets…
Hey! I'm back again! This time I'll stay active haha. Anyhow, I finally got the guts to tackle sculpting and so far, I've been starting with the face. I guess that I'll document my progress, my thoughts about this all, ask for help and so on. Perhaps I hope that this can stimulate others to start sculpting as well! Day 1:…
odium your video was spot on I played this game at a friends house last night and its a fucking mess. I loved COD4, I loved WaW, I was o-k with mw2, black ops I got a little pissed, mw3 I didn't even buy but I played it at the same friends house. Comparing black ops 2 to COD4 and WaW its obvious whats changed Maps are…
I forget what its actually called its for sure linked to the "nothing is scarier" trope in horror movies, works in games like hotline Miami too where basically the less you are visually seeing the more you are imagining, and when you relax and imagine alongside basic visual stimuli your entire experience is altered. lots…
