This is my first progress screen. ~6000 tris. This i work for my future gameart portfolio. Do you think 6000 tris is to heavy for at next-gen game prop? (xbox 360, ps3) Is 2048*2048 textures a bit to much?
I'm pretty sure alot of the Hauppage products are passthrough because an xbox 360 and ps3 only have one output, and you still need to get the video to the tv.
Apparently this is getting a spruced up PS3 and 360 version. The art does not inspire confidence though, look at the loading slot on the shotgun, WTF? Nah it'll probably be awesome.
if your doing the whole body at some point, 376 may be a bit much for the head... Especially if there is going to be other stuff on screen. Probably aim for 500 for the whole model.
THIS IS CRYENGINE 2 BUT RUNNING ON PS3 AND 360. Why they call it CryEngine 3 I have no idea but the only real intended difference is that this is running on consoles. Blame marketing for the confusion.
I'm getting ready to wrap this up. I'm going to have to come back later on to finish the rest of the stuff that will make this a full 360 environment. Here are a couple more progress shots.
