you can detach the parts of your mesh that are unwrapped in the 2nd channel, copy it's 2nd channel to it's 1st channel (menu -> tools -> channel info), then attach it back to the other half of the mesh.

Continuing from my last successful weapon art entry, here's another that I'm attempting: the AKS-74u. Below are some of the references I'm using, the 1st proving to be the most useful.
I'm undecided on which tetsubo style might fit the Earth Spirit better. The 1st has a more primitive look like the character but the second could incorporate more sculpted detail.
