Yeah I think you guys are right, doing this exercise has really brought into focus just how far out of practise I am, I need to go an revisit the basics and also drag my arse back to life drawing more regularly, thanks guys. -

i was talking of a human.. a natural human, I mean the SKIN drawing muscles, faces, etc. I mean such faces, and skins, as in GTA, benith's tutorial, or CS.. They look simply drawn, but they also look authentic, (..in their own way ) hope, i expressed my thoughts clearly now ^^ -

I'm in the same boat. Learning the foundation of drawing. If you haven't drawn before, it would be best to attend an art school. Some online class you can take too, such as CGMA, NMA.art, and Schoolism to name a few. Learn from the best and keep practicing. Hope this helps. -

Awesome site btw. I drew in anime style alot, but anantomy is always a fundemental to drawing characters. Even if you want to do robots, you would need to understand how it functions and stuff. Really humans are just robots with soft surface that eventually rots away. -

I've been jumping in and out of it this whole season, I am really surprised how real that show can get at times. I really love how often Steven's drawn off-model though, feels like an excuse for the animators to draw stupid faces for him which is great. -

I'll say that 3/4 drawings are about a million times less tedious and faster to draw than orthos too! That's because it's really hard to get the design looking right when drawing flat on for a character, and we are so in the habit of drawing in perspective.
