Hi Brad, thanks a lot for the detailed critique - much appreciated :) I actually started off from Dynamesh and made the base a little too high XO I'll address all the points mentioned and come back with an update soon, cheers!
I was thinking to export the High poly made in 3dsmax to zbrush and use the new feature of dynamesh , then reduce the polycount , would that work? I didn't try couse I am waiting still the update -_- Have to wait till monday uff....
Are you using triangulated basemeshes? Because your geo is crazy... You may wanna retopo it or just convert them to dynamesh cause I don't think those will be fun to sculpt on. Lookin forward to seeing it finished, such a badass design
Hey thanks so much for the tips! I was planning to use a low poly version with normal maps and animate this guy for a short. I typically use Dynamesh and then Zremesh + project. What would be a better workflow to avoid the blobby-ness?
Using your method results in some areas more dense than others because the starting mesh has uneven topology, therefor adding detail would be a messier task , dynamesh would be required, but for the purpose of polishing edges it works :)
1- Dynamesh your model at least once, at a high value. 2- Or Turbosmooth your model in your app by SG by a couple of times, import it in ZB, SD a couple of times, go back and reconstruct lower divisions as long as it's quads.
slow progress is slow, added some arms (I have to say I love dynamesh) - the anatomy is most likely way off but for the moment they will do - any kind of C&C appreciated (again click the image for the full album)
You can use the snake hook brush to pull out the flamey bits, though I'd recommend using that when your model is Dynameshed. Here's a quick look at it in practice : [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKr38F7EO_M[/ame]
hello, so i am following tutorial and the tutors sculpt goes from 250,000 to 300 from adjusting the sliders in decimation master but for some reason my sculpt wont go below 700 any ideas why? using dynamesh in tutorial.
So I have multiple subtools that make up a body. I want to combine them into one seamless tool. I merged each one, and dynameshed it. That worked. However, when I try and zremesh it, it deletes the leg. Why is this happening? Is there a way to avoid it?
