but i'm already using the unity universal render pipeline (specular) preset, it has something to do with the roughness i think, if i the metallic material roughness to something like 0.6 it gets better, but it still looks weird...
Great tool, I can see it being extremely useful for throwing in quick connecting pipes from machinery. I haven't been able to get it to run on Max 2016 but it does look like a good addition.
Oooh, nice job on the demo scene. Here's some info for Maya (always check the Help file first!) http://help.autodesk.com/view/MAYAUL/2016/ENU/?guid=GUID-B4706BDE-9B33-43A3-B5E8-F8A56433ACB3
@beefaroni Thats strange, as I actually developed these scripts in Maya 2016 ext2(I suppose thats 2016.5). What function are you trying to call? When is the error triggering? Has it started with the new version of the script?
@throttlekitty Maya 2016, SP6. It seems to only be the marquee that doesn't work for me. It only selects the components (verts, faces, edges, uvs) on the first object, even though i clearly dragged the rectangle over both.
Well since this post, i've deleted the hierarchies in my file, but it didn't make it better. Here's the file if anyone would like to take a look. I'm not sure what Nitrious viewport is. I'm using max 2016
Here's some moss in the mean time. I've used Naughty Dogs "Ambient Occlusion Fresnel" from page 38 of their new tech art doc to create depth. http://advances.realtimerendering.com/other/2016/naughty_dog/NaughtyDog_TechArt_Final.pdf
I´m also messing around with shaderfx in 3ds max 2016 for a week or so. :poly121: Have you tried the stingray version? It can throw shadows between objects and has a (very limited) opacity option.
106 grand already? That's a quicker start than Doublefine, isn't it? Will be interesting to see whether they can keep it up. On a semi-related note, Doublefine just shot past 3 million dollars with 8 hours remaining.
