Here is a script that a friend wrote: http://www.jeffparrott.com/transfer/PsdPathExporterWin.mel It's exports the UVs of an object as a javascript file and you go to File>Scripts>Browse and find the .js file. Zach Burns wrote this as a student. He's a pretty talented mel scripter. Any questions just pm me. -
Bodypaint
So I'm testing out bodypaint for editing my seams but when I clone the seams my end results always end up being blurry. You can obviously tell were I was trying to blend the seams. Is there any way to get results as you would in Photoshop with the spot healing brush? Thank you, Zack dembinski -

Looks pretty awesome! The one thing that really stands out to me is tha lack of negative space on your model. Seems like you just stuck to zadd and smooth.....go in and add some negatives You should try the dam_standard brush. Works really well with cloth folds -

Thanks, all. Yes, the short sword is pretty lame- I didn't even texture it. MacD- that's good advice on the hair, and the bump map issue you mentioned I agree should be worked on. This really was a fun project. I hope I can do more characters at this level soon. -

Thanks Steve :P I couldn't have done it without ya buddy! Thanks zach. So...despite that this is a portfolio thread, how come no comments on my character silhouettes :P Not sure which has the strongest silhouette so I can start painting it, any idears? or crits on the art for that matter. -

If you are a new zbrush user looking to do character work, I highly recommend Zack Petroc's DVD's from Gnomon. They are dated back to the late ZB2 days, but they still hold true and you will learn a ton, not only about anatomy, but also about a good ZBrush sculpting work flow. -

That's looking really nice. I like how it's day time, but the baroness of it still gives and creepy feel to it. The atmospherics of the final render also make it look hot (as it should). I need to keep that advice by Zack for lighting my own scenes. That piece of advice improved your scene seven fold. -
Re: Assigning different materials to different sub tools
Select your Subtool, then your material and then the color you want. Then... at the top, make sure the MRGB button is pressed, its close to Zadd and Zsub. Finally, go to the top menu "Color", and select Fill object. This will make that specific material and color stick with the subtool unless you change it and press Fill… -

'1' will repeat the last stroke/action, so as long as you don't adjust the viewing angle you should be able to :smile: * Draw out the first stroke (alpha only, with your desired alpha falloff settings) * Turn off ZAdd, turn on RGB and the texture, adjust the alpha falloff settings, then press 1
