Not very happy tonight. I am having serious problems with UDK crashing all the time and I'm scared it may cost me my work >_> Can't even register on to the Epic forum because they haven't sent me a confirmation email raaaaaarrrrr!
Thanks guys. This all pretty much confirms my own research/opinions. I might have the chance to play around with a w5000 at work if things go as I hope they will. I will report back on those experiences when and if that happens. Thanks again
Thanks guys. You've both pretty much confirmed what I was thinking, but I wanted to be sure. This is just for my own stuff at the moment, but if I was working on things for other people or paid jobs, I don't want to be making obvious errors.
Thank you for confirmation  I assume this is because in different situations (e.g. adaptive tessellation, camera based tessellation, etc.) the position of the subdivided vertices will be constantly changing, so a vertex color cannot be assigned based on world position, or something like this?
Looks like the Lambda logo from Half life 2.... and there's three..isn't that the same color orange... HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED. OK seriously though, sweet sketches. I really think these are all cool. Especially the first and third. Subscribed!
I can confirm TeeJay's info. Wow Model Viewer will export pretty much all of the models to OBJ formats, and you can export the textures as well in .bmp and .png formats. Just - yeah ... legal stuffs, use them for reference and learning.
Aesir: http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/09/microsoft-confirms-zune-will-play-games-by-july-2008/ This is good news to hear. I always thought the XNA was a waste if you couldn't distribute the game to anyone other than other XNA members.
What I mean are these icons: What you see on the right side is what happened before- but I hope that now with the 2.80 release in max2010 you see it as on the left side. So is that the case ? would be nice if some max2010 user could confirm that.
@throttlekitty Thx for confirming it, I was driving myself crazy with this one. This problem is very apparent if you are using any screen less than 1080p. If I am more used to hot keys, do you happen to know any ways to turn the huge dropdown off?
If the developer wasn't willing to facilitate it, then they would have to remove any DRM/license confirmation system from their software. Or at least that's how I read it. Either way, this is going to have a huge effect across the industry- developers aren't just going to drop a market the size of the EU.
