Alot better now!! good job.. I do see a problem with the eyes they are too dark and it makes it look buggy on her.. nose is about right now. I think the nostrils need to be pushed more in a bit.. the top lip needs to be a bit smaller probably fluff out the ears a bit just push them out too far back other than that its…
the design is solid, in the sense that it is an interesting character. now you need to push the texture. tighty up and paint your edges and seems, start pushing the contrast and introduce variety in your colors. add some finely placed grittiness. take your time and see if you can polish him up a bit. love the mustache. i'm…
It is looking better, but here is how I think you can improve it even more. To me it looks like either you are using really low lighting, or you need to push the contrast even further in your color. It's still looking pretty dark where as if you pushed the contrast, the forms would really pop out much more. Nice progress…
You can push a lot more polys then that if you are just doing one character on screen. I don't know exact numbers but it should be easy to test once you get it into Unity. I'd try pushing to like 7-8k at least. You might be able to go even higher if the background env is not complex. You can always LOD if you need to.
Hand painting normal maps? That sounds like hell. I think it looks great. I live how you've got some tiles that are sunken in. Maybe try accentuation that. At the moment it looks like just a few are pushed directly down. It might pay to experiment with having some that are pushed down at one end only, if that makes sense.…
Really excellent work so far. I don't know the reference game, but I would think, that you could push the lighting more. The blue light is somewhat hard to grasp (where is it coming from, below ? Then why are the chests of the statues lit with blue light ?), although push the contrast between blue/orange light more and I…
@snorrow Thanks for the feedback! It's actually not a painting though, it's a 3D scene. I agree though, looking at black and white is making it clear that values could be pushed. I'll see what I can do about that! @Odow Thanks for the feedback Odow. I completely agree with you and Snorrow. I will see what I can do about…
you can push the sculpt so much further than you have... right now it's just so blobby and undefined. really push those shapes! also, take a look at big cats like panthers and leopards, look at their stance, the way their shoulders are hunched, the curve of their spine. these things give character, and that's really…
Interesting piece. My comments on the pose would be that I would have his hands holding onto the back of the bricks instead of pushing against the front, and the feet to be actually pushing up against the corners of some bricks so they look nudged in if that makes sense. Also, having his feet at different heights/not…
All from scratch . except the hands that I made for the first dude then re-use for the others. Working from scratch is more fun for me, since its b1ll stuff, I go faster, I hate having to mess around push this push that with already made stuff, so I start from nada and go shift drag CHACHA update soon
