I had some problems with Blender using the default *.obj import script,- and found another one on the net that was written with pyton. Just that you know some people had problems with it before and added another import script.
I think the quickest way would be a script which add a uvw edit modifier and opens the editor. Or use a script which does something like that(textools maybe?) I don´t think that there is an interactive way unfortunately :(
I'm not digging the Arial italic typeface. I think a script typeface would be cool instead (to give a more classic 50s feel) however that would throw some readability off if dealing with employers less familiar with script
If anybody cares, I made this years ago: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/blueprint-creator First script I ever did, still works pretty well. It automates the task of setting up planes and materials.
Thx swordslayer but that script delete not only the edge I want to remove but also edges, which are connected to that edge. The script I was looking for is in this thread: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1384800#post1384800
I've got the Outliner script working fine in 2015. Used the same script as I did in 2014. I couldn't stand the scene explorer, either. At first I was happy, then I saw what it was :(
I'm officially finished guys, time to move onto to something else.:\ <script src='http://img861.imageshack.us/shareable/?i=shehulk.jpg&p=tl' type='text/javascript'></script><noscript> </noscript>
How do you get that to work. I selected 8 verts that are on the face of a plane, and ran the script. The script ran, but nothing happened in my viewport. I would love to have a tool that does that.
Fieldscarecrow: yeah this style can be quite charming - have a look at this project http://www.chasing-aurora.com Ged: main problem was to the script updated in edit mode and survive script resets - ah and the custom inspector.
Opps probably should have quoted this Neil doesn't have an object painter script for Maya, there are object painter scripts out there, but the only one Neil has done is for 3dsmax. Everything else was fine =)
