Hi there, you can find a bunch of useful information here: (polycount wiki) http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Game_Industry Sounds more like you want to be a 3d artist. A game designers job is to think about how stuff like story missions, quests, tech- or skill-trees work in games. Age doesn't matter in the games industry. I…
So happy I finished it! I wanted to push myself with armour and handpainted textures, so I decided to do this character for The Leyend of King Arthur Artstation’s challenge! :D I left some links below including the concept artist’s artstation so make sure to check him out as well! <3 Progress…
The only reason I brought it up is because of the discrepancy in votes in certain time windows. Every one of my other skins follows a more gradual progression, usually starting at a higher percentage of yes votes, then trending down ~5-10%. I have never seen a skin go from 67% yes votes, then drop to 40% yes votes in a…
I suggest you bake your displacement maps on a 8192X8192(this holds detail up to 67 million polys), lower your subdivs, weld and then apply displacement map. You should get the same amount of detail... you can even bake the displacement maps into the model in zbrush and mudbox... You wont get 20 million polys in one…

Any suggestions?…

The scene looks good, however I think you're missing a lot of the elements that makes the scene look "real". Just look at the reference images. No bloomy glow on the floor, No awkward point light shadows from one light source. The reference image looks "real" and your scene looks kinda like amateur CG lighting. If you look…
Well, cheap filters are cheap! I have a $20 set of 77mm Vivitar UV/CPL/ND4 that are just fine. Would $50-100 filters be better? Probably, but would I notice the difference in real use? Probably not. Step up rings are on option, but then you've gotta bring step up rings, or always have them installed on your lenses. If your…
