So...two features of Blender I feel should be added as soon as possible to make Blender a more industry-friendly app: Decouple XRay from Limit Selection to Visible (there is also an extensive feedback thread with reports from users who've worked with Blender for a lot longer than I):…
Now that you mentioned it, I would have liked the loop tool to in Blender to work like Max, ie allowing you to place it anywhere right from the start, rather than placing it in the very centre and then having to move it etc. Connect Edge with pinch option would be great too. But not a huge deal.
I get that, but why have 'select/ next active' only choose a single edge and not the edge loop. If I wanted just one edge that's what I would have selected. Just wish blender had more smart selection tools like modo, or maybe it does and they're not readily apparent to me.
If I understand correctly Select next Active looks at the relationship between the Active component and the previously selected one and infers the next component to select from there. Therefore, the function is not designed to operate on loop input, and is not designed to output anything else than a new Active component…
* Autosaves http://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/14413/how-to-setup-auto-save * This has apparently been discussed a while ago https://developer.blender.org/T37422 but no changes have been made as far as I know, so currently you can't disable the prompts without making changes to the code (someone correct me here) *…
@LuisCherubini SetFlow is a Max legend, not Maya. :D When I first started learning 2.80, SetFlow was one of the first things I instantly missed from Max. The other is Swiftloop. I would love to see this in Blender. Ctrl+R tool is alright, but a pain in the arse that you can't make continuous loop cuts, one after the other,…
@melviso is just scaling the UVs down not an option? What are you trying to achieve? By design UVs loop around beyond 1 in pretty much all of 3D. If you want to split it across more textures, either use multiple materials/textures or UDIM. Although I don't know what the UDIM support in Blender is like at the moment.
I updated my anim scrubber script, this is stripped out and has the hotkey setup automatically. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1693140/myscipts/r/animscrubberkey.py install normally and activate then alt + left mouse button + move mouse to scrub the timeline. It loops from start to end frames. Gif of it…
G to grab element and hold ctrl to snap. You can toggle between increment(grid) and vertex in the dropdown by the magnet in the uv window. In the loopcut options-press "T" to add the toolbar interface then ctrl r to add a loop and in the loopcut options on the bottom there' s a preserve uv checkbox to keep your uvs on edge…
@m00k That is a solution that is applied to the entire bevel - what I mean is, in a bevel that goes from point A to point B (in other words, not a closed/looping bevel), have its width change linearly along the way, while still retaining the shape of all the perpendicular elements crossing in its way. :) Let me know if you…
