I leave it unmapped by default and if I'm planning to click something a lot (like Mark Seam or Merge at Center) I right click the action in the spacebar menu or the toolbox and add Q as the shortcut for it.
@Prime8 I'm getting identical smoothing using both FW custom normals+keep sharp, and clearing the imported normals and Autosmooth. Left is FW and right is Autosmooth And here are the 3ds Max (custom)normals
haha yeah, all I wanted is the option to do this. Forcing anyone to a certain behaviour doesn't seem right, and enabling us to choose whichever we prefer seems like a very good idea.
@guitarguy00 In 2.8 the constraint drop down is top center,mine says face.Click the drop down then click the little plus sign to the right to set a constraint to whatever sub-object you have selected.
If you can set two vertex loops at each end of a limb and bridge them before adding the shrink wrap, the loop cut will do the job just a fast.
