Something that I used when I felt like drawing in Photoshop, when I didnt have access to a tablet but stubbornly wanted to draw anyway, was to increase the canvas a lot... draw however I like... and then downsize it in the end. I would use Bilinear or Bicubic interpolation. I would usually draw in a canvas 4x bigger than…
Hi everybody! This year Drysocket and I are hosting a Furtive Frostus gift art exchange event (Secret Santa). Basically, you just fill out a form telling us what kind of picture you'd like to receive, and email it to us by Monday, 16 Dec. We'll match up all the requests with other participants in secret, and in a few days…
I drew these two the night before last, the one eye picture is way too blurry, i want to retake the picture and draw on it. I made these trees real quick today and put them into Unity. They look like shit.
Not necessarily. The catch here is that when looking at these devices (big Cintiqs, this MS panel, and so on) we assume that it is indeed possible to work comfortably at a distance similar to what is shown in this picture above. But the fact is, Wacom tech is order of magnitude less precise than a physical pencil - because…
You've written a lot of text. Unless you're planning to become a writer (in which case, hay, more power to you), we need photographic or scanned evidence of some sort that you've attempted to create some art. If you don't draw a lot AND do a lot of thinking about what did and didn't work in your drawings, you aren't giving…
the only way to fix the problem is to draw more seriously, if you want to improve, and this might sound corny, but take a sketch book around with you and draw draw draw. once you're comfortable with drawing peoples faces it might be time to come back to your wacom, scan in a few sketches and mess about with them in…
I don't have ZBrush :( As far as references go, I drew a side-view of the sword to start out with. I compared my concept drawing to the currently-added weapons for the Naga that made it through the workshop, and I felt like it nailed the style.
thanks for your opinion poopipe. So far looks like centuries old technique painting it by hand by long flat sabel brush by very oily paint with random rotation, then using another puffy sable brush to subtly smear the paint tangential to original stroke makes a best illusion for height image. Too bad there is nothing like…
Did a quick test in Fibershop using the hand draw mode and roughly drew out a similar pattern as my hair cap above. Flow map looked pretty much the same, so I'm calling this a win unless some mathematician turns up and tells us it's all wrong :D
[ QUOTE ] cool ferret, but didnt someone else draw the racoon toaster guy? [/ QUOTE ] nope, that would be me. Apparently the evening after sketchclub there was a raccoon toaster on futurama. I did not see the episode, and I drew mine before it came on.
