Continuing to work on refining shapes and materials. I've been building out further and creating new modular pieces to fill in for the ones I don't already have.
Thread! Rise from the ashes and live again!! For people who like slow building progressive modular synth stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJbSetUMjds
I think on your next project you should just spent a bit more time on attention to detail before adding all the post fx. Get the scene all tight and solid before moving forward. Things like: Adding curved kerbs/pavement at crossroads and the dip in the pavement for pedestrian crossing. There's a lot of rain but I don't see…
I've always wanted to do something similar! anyway a few suggestion on your current state are: 1 - Don't go overboard with the shinies. Study and narrow down the look of the materials you want to go for from real life reference. Also be careful of baking AO in your diffuse with UE4 materials, rather just use the AO slot in…
Why so many segments to everything. I don't feel like most of them are helping the shape much (ie: the 2nd segment up on the posts). The stairs have four segments but most of them could be fine with one. Then mix in a few with 2-3 segments for more shape. You could shave a lot of tris that way. And I wouldn't have the…
whats the frame rate so far and how many polygons so far and are you doing any blueprint Hierachical instanced static mesh system for the modular buildings?
Shabba, for god, how did you sculpt this concrete? I tried to sculpt this for modular building I'm making, but with no positive result :D How did you made it?
ok cool I will be adding some modular textures and tileable textures for the ground and buildings still but that is all thats left I will be posting more shots of that progress tomorrow.
Going to hit this thing with broader strokes as suggested by a friend. Finishing up the modular building kits and street work before delve into the props. Thanks for the love guys :D
